Carbon Emissions Markets
Disclaimer: While we do read

links does not in any way encourage and endorse the ideas at, nor

A great deal of uncertainty exists at this time as to what
companies will emerge as reliable sources of high quality information
and as entities that can handle trading in a fair, honest and just
manner.
Chicago Climate Exchange
is operating an emissions trading program in the U.S., as well as
dealing in carbon offsets in sinks. Several large companies are
involved including Ford, Dupont, as well as some public sector entities
like the City of Chicago.
Greenhouse Gas Emission
Reduction Trading Pilot, Canada
International Emissions Trading
Association (regular updates on the international activity in
emissions trading)
Arthur Anderson, Credit
Lyonnais and Natsource
"have teamed ... to create an international carbon repository
to serve the developing market in emissions trading (The Times of
London, Monday, November 13, 2000, Business Section)."
CO2.com: The
Global Hub for Carbon Commerce This is Cantor Fitzerald's website
for trading in carbon emissions; such trading has started, although
mainly in credits rather than in allowances in that the latter depends
upon limits being set on emissions by some government entity.
Evolution Markets This
brokerage firm is active in a number of environmental markets (e.g.,
the sulfur dioxide emissions allowances market), and is just entering
into the carbon emissions markets.
