. . . the Nebraska Carbon Sequestration Advisory Committee

LB 957 was passed during the year 2000-2001 legislative session of the Nebraska Unicameral.  The Bill created the Committee which was charged with finding ways for Nebraskans to proactively be part of any developments in carbon emissions and sequestration.  The idea behind this legislation is that Nebraska could play a key role in sequestering (storing) carbon in forest, grazing and cropland within the State.
