. . . the Nebraska Carbon Sequestration Advisory Committee

Thank you for visiting the University of Nebraska- Lincoln, USA.

This carbon dioxide molecule, with its one part Carbon, and two parts Oxygen,

CO2

represents bringing the two Interests, Public and Private, together through Understanding. This is the focus of the Nebraska Carbon Sequestration Advisory Committee.

For a quick overview of the various dimensions of climate change, carbon sequestration and what is at issue as presented during the November 16, 2007 meeting of the Committee, see the short version of Carbon Market Update, which also has an audio/podcast "click-point" on the first slide (or, if you want more detail, looking more at the historical context for what has been on-going in recent years, also with Audio, see: Carbon Market Update With Audio which was recorded in late 2006; we will post an updated version soon). These PowerPoint presentations use new "streaming" software by Impatica, which will speed the process of viewing such slides. Furthermore, one can click on the "Notes" link on the first slide for a detailed discussion of items on each slide. This will open another Window which can then be placed beside the Slides Window for viewing together.

Note: There was continued interest expressed during the November 16, 2007 meeting (See About Us, and the Minutes) to continue the work of the Nebraska Carbon Sequestration Advisory Committee. As a result, we have decided to maintain this website a bit longer, at a minimal level, until the future of the Committee has been decided. Thank you for your continued support of the site.
