. . . the Nebraska Carbon Sequestration Advisory Committee

Thank you for visiting the University of Nebraska- Lincoln, USA.

This carbon dioxide molecule, with its one part Carbon, and two parts Oxygen,

CO2

represents bringing the two Interests, Public and Private, together through Understanding. This is the focus of the Nebraska Carbon Sequestration Advisory Committee.

For a quick overview of the various dimensions of climate change, carbon sequestration and what is at issue as presented during the December, 2008, meeting of the Committee, see the short, pdf version of Carbon Market Update, which also has an audio/podcast "click-point" on the first slide; so, open the Update in one Window, and the Podcast in your media player window. You can than flip through the slides while listening to the Podcast. There also are notes on each slide that give more detailed information and analysis. For a slightly modified version, developed in April, 2009, see Carbon Market Update 2009.

Note: There was continued interest expressed during the December, 2008, meeting (See About Us, and the Minutes) to continue the work of the Nebraska Carbon Sequestration Advisory Committee. As a result, we have decided to maintain this website a bit longer, at a minimal level, until the future of the Committee has been decided. Thank you for your continued support of the site.
